Amazing Australia

Kia Ora and Happy 2015 from Australia!

Perth Australia is a diverse and beautiful city.  We loved our visit!

Kangaroos hop around freely--here at a local cemetery!  So cute.

Just out for a Sunday stroll.  No biggie!  Love this place!

We flew into Sydney in a thunderstorm.  Here's the outskirt photo.

Serious beauty and a bit unnerving from an airplane!  Still beautiful.

We were thrilled to see this iconic symbol of Sydney harbour.  What an opera house!

You really have to see Sydney Harbor to take in its grandeur.  Beautiful scenes from every angle and for many miles.

Loved this view of the Opera House from under Sydney Bridge.

Many folks spent the night to secure a great location for the New Year's fireworks.  Looks like fun.

We took ferries all over the harbour.  So pretty and fun.

Just another pretty sight along the way.  We went by ferry to a nice restaurant for lunch.

Can't miss this artwork from all around the harbour.  I loved photographing it.

Front view.  Still gorgeous.  Sydney was a dream come true.

Some of them of the most expensive real estate in the world.  Easy to see why.

Walking around downtown Sydney was a treat.  Easy to love.

Nice lookout point. The island behind us is a favourite of many--including Nicole Kidman.

New Year's Eve was so much fun--here's one reason why! Pavlova is a favourite dessert down under.

A work of art--and healthy too.  Kerry and Bardia Paki hosted us and it couldn't have been nicer.

Sydney Harbor fireworks have two sessions--this one was at 9 p.m. for the kiddies.  Our group had a blast!

Here's a small sample of the children's fireworks.  Very accommodating.

We were privileged to bring in the new year with these great people.  Bardia and Kerry Paki, Elder Terry and Kay Vinson, Phil and Jenny Hobby, and yours truly!

Bardia and Phil walked us down to the harbour to take in this scene of the bridge and opera house all lit up!

The streets and water and every nook and cranny along the harbour were crowded with people and cameras.

We found a nice spot and Phil helped us climb atop a tall curb with bushes to photograph this world-wide wonder.  He told us about poisonous spiders later:)

The fireworks did not disappoint. Thousands of people joined us in celebrating 2015 in style!

One thing crossed of our bucket list!  Once in a lifetime thrilling.

Good bye Sydney.  We can't wait to visit you again soon.  Lovely city.  Fantastic people!
